    Craps

    If you are looking for an exciting casino game, you want to pay attention to craps. Most often, you can spot a craps table simply by following the shouts of players who get into the game. For this game, a special craps table and two dice are used. Because the dice play such an important part of this game, they are inspected on a regular basis for damage or tampering and replaced often, after just eight hours of play.

    To play craps, you need to handle the dice using just one hand, throwing or tossing the dice to make them hit the opposite wall of the table, often referred to as “shooting craps”. If at any time one or both of the dice go off the craps table, the dealer or pit boss would carefully inspect them prior to being put back into play. The table itself is quite large, capable of accommodating up to 20 players. The interesting thing about craps is that you can throw your own dice or bet on another player throwing.

    When it comes to bets on a craps table, you will find a number of options. In addition, unlike other table casino games, the crew for craps consists of two dealers, along with a boxman and stickman. To get started, there is a roll of the dice known as the “Come Out” roll. This particular roll can only be made when a previous thrower does not make a winning roll, failing to seven out or make the Point. At that time, a new shooter starts the game.

    If the new shooter also fails to make the Point, the dice are then passed to the next player at which time a new Come Out roll is made. This person would be the individual to the left of the previous shooter with the game continuing in a clockwise movement. Remember, the dice must go across the table layout, which is separated into three areas – two on the sides and one in the center. The areas on the sides mirror each other while also holding the Pass and Don’t Pass lines, Odds, Come and Don’t Come, Field, and Place bets. The center area of the craps table is actually shared by the two sides and is where Proposition bets are made. The following are the common bets played in the game of craps * For Pass bets, these would be won anytime the Come Out roll is a 7 or 11, losing on rolls of 2, 3, or 12. If a Point is rolled, which would be 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, it has to be repeated prior to a 7 being thrown to win. However, if the 7 were rolled prior to the Point, the player would lose.

    * The Don’t Pass or Don’t Come bets lose on a 7 or 11 while winning on a 2 or 3. In addition, the Don’s Pass and Don’t Come bets would have a tie in the case of a 12 being rolled.

    * Odds on Pass Line Bets – Once the Point is rolled, additional bets can be made by taking odds. In this case, the payouts are different for each point. For instance, if the point were a 4, you would be paid 2:1 whereas an 8 would pay 6:5. However, the only way to win is if the Point is rolled again before a 7 being rolled.

    * Come Bet – Similar to the Pass Line Bet, the difference is that you can bet, but only after the Point on the Pass Line is known. Then, once a bet is placed on the first dice rolled, that becomes the come point. If you roll a natural, which is a 7 or 11, you would win but if you roll a 2, 3, or 12, you lose.

    * Odds on Come Bet – This type of craps bet is the same as the Odds on Pass Line with the exception that odds on the Come Bet would be made instead of on the Pass Line bet.

    * Don’t Pass Line Bet – This bet is the complete opposite from the Pass Line bet, meaning if the first dice rolled is a 7 or 11, you lose but if you roll a 2 or 3, you win. However, if a 12 is rolled, you tie or push with the dealer.

    * Don’t Come Bet – Opposite from the Come Bet, once the come point has been determined, if you roll a 2 or 3, you win but if you roll a 7 or 11, you lose. Additionally, a 12 would tie.

    * Place Bets – The point must be determined before you can use this bet. Then, you would best on rolling a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10. If the number you placed your bet on comes up prior to 7 being rolled, you would win.

    * Field Bets – This is a one dice roll bet. To win, you would need to roll a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12 while a 5, 6, 7, and 8 would be a loss.

    * Big Six – Big Eight Bets – You can place this bet at any roll of the dice. However, to win, a 6 or 8 has to come out prior to a 7.

    * Proposition Bets – You can make proposition bets anytime with the exception of hardways Recent Casino Betting Buzz
